‘Twas a pretty glorious unseasonably warm October day. Took a trip to Beaune a tiny town in the heart of Burgundy. Must’ve been off season (which is always a nice thing) since the town was quiet and almost deserted. Indoors though, we had the best eggs and truffles… and great full bodied burgundy wines. The old Hospices de Beaune was pretty fascinating too with its old (scary) hospital tools and contraptions… Wish we had more time though, we were there just over the weekend. Just a day longer would have been perfect!
